STUDENT MINISTRY PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Our Student Ministry exists to CONNECT youth with other Christians, to help them come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, and then GROW in their Christian walk, to REACH OUT in SERVICE to others as they continue to HONOR Christ with their lives!
CONNECT – Encouraging fellowship with other Christians.
GROW – Assisting youth to discover God’s will in their lives as they grow to maturity in Christ.
REACH OUT – Guiding youth to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
SERVICE – Encourage youth to discover their talents and put them into practice through ministry and mission opportunities.
HONOR – Everything we do in our youth ministry is done because we love God and desire to honor and worship Him with our lifestyle.
The Student Ministry reaches these purposes in several different ways GROW- In Sunday School on Sunday mornings at 9:30, we meet for a time of discipleship and growth by digging deep into the Bible.
REACH OUT & CONNECT- On Wednesday nights at 7:00 we meet for a time of fellowship and teaching. This is a great night for new students to come and see what we are all about. We also do monthly outreach events such as the Lock-In at the “Renaissance Fun Park,” and the Fall Hayride.
REACH OUT & GROW- During the summer the Students attend “Crossings Camp” You can access their website at: http://www.crossingsministries.org/jcreek/youthcamp.asp
SERVICE- In addition to serving year-round in the work of the Lord, the Students go on a mission trip during the summer.
Any student who is in 6th grade through 12th grade is welcome to be a part of what God is doing in the Student Ministry at Dehaven.
