HOW YOU MAY BECOME A CHRISTIAN
It’s as simple as “ABC!”
ADMIT that you, like all human beings, are a sinner (You have displeased God.) and are lost beyond repair and must be born again - transformed by God, not reformed. No one can be saved from their sins and go to heaven on their own. No one ever has!
Romans 3:23: “Everyone ahs sinned and is far away from God’s saving presence.” Romans 6:23a: “Sin pays its wage - death.”
BELIEVE that God loves you and has a plan for your life - both now and eternity! “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die (eternally) but have eternal life (John 3:16). God’s free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b). “Everyone who calls out to the Lord for help will be saved.” (Romans 10:13).
CONFESS to God that you, like all humans, are a sinner and your belief that Jesus Christ, God’s Son, died for your sins on the cross. Romans 5:8: “God has shown us how much he loves us - it was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us!” Matthews 10:32-33: “Those who declare (confess) publicly that they belong to me, I will do the same for them before my Father in heaven. But those who reject me publicly, I will reject before my Father in heaven.”
Now that you know these truths, what will you do? Will you accept God’s offer of salvation from your sins along with the promise of heaven? If so, share this news with another Christian. Announce your decision publicly to other believers. Then, unite with a Bible-believing church, be baptized, and grow as a “newborn” believer.
